About

What We Do

Moorwood Art is situated in a private bluebell woodland near the artistically vibrant town of Bruton, in Somerset. The gallery throws open its doors to the public twice a year for our unique and exciting bi-annual group exhibitions - one in the Spring and one leading up to Christmas.  Throughout the year we continually assist new and exisiting clients to source stunning original works of art from the large and varied selection of artists we represent. Please contact us to find out more about this service.

Moorwood Art exhibits upcoming and established artists, many of whom are local to the South West region.  Each piece of artwork is always chosen on its own creative spirit and merit, and our exhibitions consist of a carefully selected mixture of contemporary realism, beautiful photography and sculpture - sometimes humourous, sometimes profound, sometimes elegant.  Each artwork is selected and displayed with care and sensitivity to celebrate its individual voice and meaning.

Since its establishment in 2010, Moorwood Art Ltd. has staged numerous successful exhibitions, advised many private buyers and interior designers and supported a large number of artists. We are very happy to organise visits to our artists' studios, to meet the makers, see the processes, smell the paint or touch the stone. Such visits are a unique and enriching way to identify which artist resonates with an individual client's tastes, personality and interests.

Moorwood Art is very excited to be in collaboration with Horrell & Horrell micro dining.  Art and sculpture can be part of the wonderful experience they are offering, located in a beautiful, open fronted barn with an outdoor kitchen at Jules and Steve’s home in rural Somerset. Dinners will take place on Friday and Saturday evenings, and each night has limited seating on one long sharing table. All situated in their stunning garden where a lot of the food being cooked is grown.

Moorwood Art also displays a changing cycle of artworks for sale at The Green restauant in Sherborne throughout this beautiful dining space.

A proportion of the proceeds of every sale at Moorwood Art is donated to charity, and a different charity is supported at each exhibition.
