Testimonials

We came to an Exhibition in 2019 and saw and bought lots of great pieces of art from various artists.

Camilla seems to put together a very varied group of artists that are very talented, with wide price ranges. We could have bought a great deal more.

Two of the pieces that we saw and fell in love with had already been sold. So we commissioned two other pieces from Ellen Merchant and Paul Boak. The whole process was extremely collaborative and enjoyable.

We could not have been more delighted with these pieces. Camilla came to hang and position a large painting which was extremely helpful.

'My husband and I moved to Somerset two years ago and were first introduced to Camilla when a friend took us to one of her fabulous exhibitions. Camilla represents a really interesting mix of artists and we left with two paintings and two sculptures! Camilla then came to our home to help us decide on the best position for the larger garden sculpture and also to help us find homes for several artworks that we already owned but hadn’t yet hung. This was enormously helpful.

We love that Camilla now knows our home and has a good sense of what we like so is able to contact us when she comes across a piece she thinks might work for a particular space. She really goes the extra mile for her clients. We have since purchased two additional paintings through Camilla. She and I met with that particular artist in her home and I was then able to ‘borrow’ the paintings to see how they looked in our house. Camilla then introduced me to a fantastic framer. I have also met Camilla in London at the exhibition of another artist, whose work she knew I would like. I love the intimacy of this approach.

Camilla is not only knowledgeable with a fantastic eye, but she is also a warm, caring person who really strives to bring her clients and artists together. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Camilla over the years to come.'

'We persuaded Camilla to submit her skill and knowledge of paintings to an auction of promises – and bought it. We live in a 17th century Somerset farmhouse which has reasonably sized rooms but low ceilings and old beams make the hanging of pictures difficult. We had about 40 pictures, mostly oils, in 6 rooms and went out for a walk with the dog while she had peace to effect a rehang, which was strikingly successful. She has an amazing eye.

When we arrived 20+ years ago, we painted all the walls white because the house faces north east so light in the dining and drawing rooms is a problem. After her success with our pictures, we asked Camilla to devise a new colour scheme which she did with consummate skill to great effect. We subsequently asked her to think about new curtains and cushions – not as problem for her.

So delighted were we with this result, we asked her to come up to London and redesign the colours in our flat. That’s in an Edwardian block with large rooms, high ceilings and picture rails and, by the time our decorator had followed her instructions, the transformation was amazing.

We cannot recommend her skill with interiors too highly – go for it, you won’t be disappointed.'

'Camilla has an eye for paintings and how to hang them to the best effect. She has proven that one without the other misses a trick.'

We went along to one of Moorwood Art’s November Group Shows and came across an artist Freya Pocklington who we really liked. Camilla helped us organise a very ambitious commission of our family and also portraits of our children. It was a total success. I had never commissioned any artwork before but had always been told that it could be problematic, but not with Camilla’s help and understanding of both Freya’s point of view and what we wanted.

We have subsequently bought a lot of other pieces from other exhibitions that Moorwood Art has had. We are delighted with everything we have bought. Camilla came to our house in London and helped us with where to hang our art and also helped us with other pieces that we needed. I would always recommend Camilla’s eye to anyone looking for art buying advice.
