Susannah is a painter specialising in figurative and landscape work. Working predominantly with oil paint
and most often directly from life, her work is fluid and fresh. Observation is key to all her work and even
her more abstracted pieces will have begun in response to the subject before her. Her work draws on the
sense of place and also within imagination.
Susannah worked as a Textile designer and also within Children’s art projects before giving her time more
fully to painting in 2023. Her sensitivity to colour, shape and pattern has continued throughout these
transitions.
