Kim Francis is a contemporary sculptor working predominantly in stone.
She first trained as a Jeweller at Central St Martins, London.
Her practice evolved from body adornment to sculpture, through working in bronze casting foundries in the U.K, and the USA. Kim is a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors.
Her work shows a devotion to line and form, inspired by the innate elegance of the natural world. She uses the stillness and gravity of the medium to play with the flux and flow of the phenomenal world, and our apparently linear, but convoluted experience of time.
She lives and works in the Cotswolds.
