Rowena studied Printed Textiles at Glasgow school of Art. Rowena Mayell is a Somerset based artist who is inspired by the natural world. Rowena collects plants and flowers from her local fields and recreates her own mini meadow in her studio. Her artwork has a delicate, soft feel created by layering a variety of different mediums and fine lines. She draws onto prepared boards with graphite, acrylic pens and paints, creating ethereal pattern like pieces.
