Mark Cazalet

Mark Cazalet is a contemporary British artist based in London. 

Born in 1964, trained at Chelsea and Falmouth School of Art, after which he held two post graduate scholarships at L’Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and at M.S. University Baroda in India.  He enjoys working across a variety of media, pursuing his own themes, undertaking commissions, and working with communities.  He particularly values the interaction that his teaching brings. He is currently a senior member of faculty at The Royal Drawing School, The Edward James Foundation, University of West England and Arts in Provence.

 

Recent projects have included: nine linocuts for Canterbury Diocese’s Novena Prayers 2020, Stained Glass windows for Our Lady of Fatima Church White City, an illustrated book of Thomas Hardy’s late poetry, recording derelict buildings in Doha, and drawings from Kyoto’s Zen Gardens.  He has undertaken many ecclesiastical commissions in glass, painting and tapestry, including: Wesley’s Chapel, Mirfield Abbey and Worcester, Manchester, Chelmsford Cathedrals.
