Alex Manolatos

Greek-born Alex Manolatos has lived most of his life in London. He studied for three years at the Architectural Association and graduated in painting with first class honours at City and Guilds School of Art.

Alex has had a multi-disciplinary career ranging from model-making, notably a working model for Richard Rogers & Partners of a London townhouse and an ecclesiastical mural at Lambeth Palace as an assistant to Leonard Rosoman RA, to setting up ‘Typography 5’, a graphic design business in Carnaby Street. His preoccupation with architecture and design has informed much of Alex’s creative output. Recently, an exploration of his Greek roots has led to a series of childhood memory paintings and extensive studies of geraniums.

Alex has had four solo exhibitions in the last ten years and his work can be found in many private collections in Britain and abroad.
