Chrissy Silver works with porcelain making detailed lamps and candle burners. The fineness, translucency and luminosity of the material is perfect for taking impressions from fresh spring flowers.To capture a plant in its fresh vibrant state within the clay is to preserve its ‘life’ for an eternity. The soft light which is then produced by the translucent porcelain, the contrasting and sometimes piercing light shining through the plant pressings gives a photographic image of the details within the plant.
