Amelia Tuttiett

She first became interested in clay as a child, enjoying playing at a friends house whose parents were both potters.  She started going to evening classes when she was pregnant with her first child and then went to university to study Fine Art in Chichester which included ceramics as a mature student.

She is lucky enough now to work from her studio where she can spend all day or,  just a few hours as it is right next to her house.  It has a wonderful view across her garden and the countryside beyond.  From here she can observe the daily rituals of the multiple birds that visit and notice all the wonderful changes that take place in the garden throughout the growing year.  She loves walking and this also helps to feed her practice.  She always notices the constant change of the seasons; flowers and trees and grasses.

She has set up many weekly ceramic classes where it is obvious that she loves teaching and passing on her knowledge and passion for making a beautiful pot to two! Lucky people who live near her!

She hopes that her work brings a sense of joy.
