Matt Loughlin is an American letter-cutter and stone carver based in Somerset, England, where he works under the studio name of The Memorial Workshop.
Drawing on his previous career as a graphic designer and training as a traditional letter-cutter, Matt creates pieces that explore the themes of reflection, remembrance, appreciation of life, and our relationship to nature: which he expresses with humour and empathy through relief carving and original, hand-lettered inscriptions in stone and print.
