George Jolliffe

George Jolliffe graduated with merit from The King's Foundation in 2024, specialising in etching/engraving. His prints are developed from plein air drawings made in Somerset, London, Scotland and the Balkans. He combines these with ‘characters’ created from wood, bone and flint to build narrative. Whether studying a piece of burnt wood or a vast canyon wall, he looks at how light falls and matter erodes to create pattern that sits between the abstract and the figurative.
