Freya Pocklington

She has a BA Fine Art (First Class) from Edinburgh College of Art and an MA Drawing from Wimbledon College of Art. She has work in The British Museum, The Royal Scottish Academy, The Victoria and Albert Museum, Convento de Sao Francisco, National Open Art and West Dean College. She has exhibited in both Group and Solo Shows throughout London at Breese Little and James Freeman Gallery and at lots of Art Fairs. She lives and works in London. She has had many residencies in the last 8 years, including West Dean College and Somerset House.

At the beginning of 2016 Freya was selected to be Artist in Residence at Acorn Bank for three months for a project with the National Trust. She researched women working with animals and farming in The Lake District.  She has just started an MPhil at the RCA where she is researching the positive impact animal companionship has on patients who are in remission. A series of portraits will be produced and will be displayed at a number of NHS hospitals in the future.
