Emsie has been blowing glass for thirty years. After initially completing a Glass Blowing degree at Farnham Art College she travelled to Venice and worked in the glass studios of Murano making wine glasses and chandeliers. Many of the techniques that she uses today were mastered during her time in Murano and the influence of her time spent in Venice can be seen throughout her colourful and playful glassware.
In contrast to her Venetian training Emsie really enjoys the freedom of making her artworks which are inspired by the underwater world and her love of snorkelling.
