“What does a painting tell you about the artist who created it? Everything and nothing.
Not one for offering flowery interpretations or teasing out hidden meanings Ann prefers people to enjoy her work on their own terms. She does however want her paintings, whether simple or complex, to command a proper look rather than a mere glancing. She is happy that she seems to have a recognisable style with room for further development.
In the past she has had work accepted by the Society of Women Artists for showing at the Mall Galleries. Of late she prefers to stay closer to home but have still been enjoying success in exhibitions, winning Awards, although this is not the reason she paints, she has to admit recognition from one’s peers when it is received is very satisfying”
