Claire Lloyd
Claire Lloyd

Claire Lloyd, creative director, film maker, and photographer, came to London in 1983 after two and a half years at Australian Vogue. Since then, she has enjoyed a career in magazines, film, books and property.  She has worked either as art director or contributing editor on a variety of magazines; fashion, lifestyle, and interiors.  In 1988, Claire was the art director for the launch of British W, hiring and managing the original creative team.  As well as editorial work, she has art directed in advertising agencies and design groups. As a freelance, she has been hired to pitch for and advise on concepts for new clients and as a freelance creative director she has provided new identities  for clients through packaging, brochures, design and film.

It was natural, therefore, for Claire to move into film and video. She has made commercials, promotional films and image projections in public spaces.

Claire’s book, Sensual Living, was published by Conran Octopus in 1998 and it continues to inspire. It reflects a new way of perceiving lifestyle. In the properties that Claire has transformed in London, Sydney and Greece, she demonstrates the combination of simplicity, light, space, comfort and sensuality that are the marks of her unique style. Claire’s last book My Greek Island Home was published by Penguin Lantern in Australia and Clearview Books in the UK.
