Catherine Ducker
Catherine Ducker

Catherine Ducker was born in 1973 and went to Central Saint Martins Foundation and Degree. Graduated 1996 She paints when everything becomes one, a harmony, the painting has a sense of being urgently painted in whatever mediums she has access to. Seasons are short and vase life is short. Excitement can be short. Recently she has let herself explore the subject of “flowers”. They activate a whole range of emotion, sometimes a sense of “the celebration of life” sometimes a more “earthy” feeling. The subject being a combination of complexity and simplicity, something that evolves. The vase is important, being the vessel, yet the wildness is contained, she like the flowers to have a sense of still being outside. Private collections: Moore Stephens. St Paul’s.
